I wanted to give my son my dads middle name, james....but I found out, which I never knew, one of bf's sons already has that middle name...I'm sad...I think it would be lame for bf to have 2 kids with the same middle name....ugh...

Maybe as a first name? Or what's your dads first name? Maybe use THAT as a middle name.

I like jameson!  That's a cool idea, different, but still included...  hamish is the scottish version of james.  Idk if that helps or not though lol

You may love your friend, but think of how many friends you loved that are no longer in your life... Or that you have just lost touch with. If you lose touch with her in 10 or 20 years are you going to regret you didn't give your son your fathers name? You might. i don't think its lame, especially if you tell her upfront why your using the name.

Personally id name my kid what I want......his kids aren't exactly your kids and you didn't name them :-P

Yeah Ash, sorry I wasn't so clear....one of boyfriends sons already has the middle name. . .I wouldn't care if a friends son shared that middle name.....I just don't know if its too lame to have his son kyle james, and our son ______ james.....

U have a point ash....I think the middle name mainly gets used for parents to prove they are serious or angry to their child....like mom only said my first & middle name when I was in trouble lol....

I use my kids full names all the time lol, so does my sister. But then again our whole family does lol. Guess it must be ona those redneck things haha :p
