Has evening primrose oil worked for any of you softening your cervix? If yes when did you start taking it, how much did you take, and how did it help?

I took 1500Mg from 36 weeks until 40wks 5days, when I delivered. So, obviously it didn't make me go into labor sooner, but when I did, I went from 2 to 10 in 3 hours. My first baby took much, much longer to get out. I don't know if it was the epo, or that it was a second baby, but I say the epo is worth trying. :)

Doctor says it worked. I started it at 36 weeks. One orally in the morning, two inserted into the cervix at night. @ 38 weeks I was at 2cm and 50% so had my membranes swept. Had my baby in my arms exactly 48 hours later.lol

Oh and like the poster above said I was the same way. I went from 5cm and 75% to complete and ready to push in a little over 2 hours...
