How is the swabbing? Does your rectum hurt at all? When they do the vaginal swab, is it like a pap? I'll have mine done at my next appt...

It doesn't hurt at all ... it's done so fast you don't really even feel that they are doing it

The one I had with my son, he didn't check my rectum, he just put a qtip in my vagina, held it there for less than a minute and done! I assume they would do the same if they swabbed the other.

Yup! Dr just swabbed around back and front, kinda just brushing the qtip everywhere. Painless..

Cool thanks ladies! I was nervous but when I asked my midwife, guess what she said?? Since they have us mamas check our own urine for glucose, proteins, and nitrates, they actually have us do our own swabbing. I was like "well thats cool". Super easy and def not worried now :)

I had mine done with a new doctor first time ever meeting him now that was embrassed

I had mine last monday and they don't.use the tool to open you, just a quick swab in and then just over your but, my doc don't go inside. Doesn't hurt at all.
