« on: February 20, 2014, 09:38:26 pm »
Have any of you ladies had this I've only known two friends who have and it was correct. I know they do it around 12 or 13 weeks. Just wanted to hear of any experiences.

From my understanding they check your blood and look for the y chromosome in your blood so if it's positive for that your having a boy and if its negative it's a girl. The just look for the baby's DNA in the mother's blood.

I had the one called harmony and it said boy. Well several ultrasounds later and it is definitely a boy! They take a vial of blood and they test it for three of the trisomy genes and they test for x or y chromosomes that baby emits into your blood system.

Thanks for replying I have two girls so I'm hoping for a boy this time around. And 18-20 weeks is too far away to wait.
