Any advice would help...
« on: February 28, 2013, 07:16:37 am »
Ever since taking that glucose test I've been feeling kinda off. Never had headaches like I get now. Strange thing is...when I go to sleep I feel fine but every time I wake up I have an annoying headache now. What could be the reason for this?

Just had one Monday and dint go back til the 11th. I drink all day long and probably too much at night before I go to bed since I get up 2-3 times to pee. I can't say I've been stressed about anything either. I just know it's only been happening when I wake up from any type of sleep. Even short naps :(

If you know your hydration is good, my next check would be iron. The extra blood our bodies use to grow babies sometimes steals from the blood our brains need and that could cause headaches. The other idea is that you caught a mild cold. Does a long shower help? Another sign (right, we're pregnant, of course we're more tired than usual) of anemia can be extra fatigue, or paler than usual skin.
I hope it's just a cold, but try a shower in case that eases sinus pressure, and a women's iron capsule (will firm up your poop, unfortunately).  If that doesn't work, ask your midwife.

I have headaches every single day when I sleep I'm fine also my doctor thought it was low blood sugar but that wasn't it and its not dehydration an my glucose test was normal they think it might just be hormones during this stage of my pregnancy oh and yes my blood pressure is fine also it might just be ur hormones fluctuating

I think its hormones if you are hydrated and eating well, i get really bad headaches and usually just sleep it out. But yoi can take tylenol. Im not a medicine person but i have taken it a few times this pregnancy. Good luck!

Thx ladies...yeah I've never had bp problems either so I'm hoping is just hormones too.
